The Wolfman (2010)

Last Sunday, February 14 (Valentine’s day) … I decided to have a date with my parents in the mall (Market Market, Taguig) before meeting my akachan (boyfriend). We ate Double Chocolate Almond Ice Cream at DQ (Dairy Queen), roam inside the mall and then finally decided to watch a movie.
The movie I wanted to watch is “Dear John” and “Valentine’s Day”, my mother wanted to watch it, too. But my father doesn’t like it. What he like is an action movie, but since there was none. So, he decided that we just watch the horror/thriller “The Wolfman”.

…a horror film on a “Valentine’s Day”??? Haha! What a date?! :)
The movie “The Wolfman” is a remake of the 1941 classic horror film with the same title. It is directed by Joe Johnston and was first released on the 10th of February, 2010 in France and on the 12th of the same month in the U.S.

SYNOPSIS:

The movie focuses on Lawrence Talbot (played by Benicio del Toro), a haunted nobleman lured back to his family estate for his brother’s funeral, after receiving a letter from his brother’s fiancée Gwen Conliffe (played by Emily Blunt).

He reunited with his estranged father, Sir John Talbot (played by Anthony Hopkins) and sets out on a quest to seek out the truth of what happened with his brother … all too soon the mystery of his brother’s death as well as the death of the local people in there are were solved. And it’s when Lawrence realizes the horrifying of his destiny that lies in front of him.
With a Scotland Yard inspector named Abberline (played by Hugo Weaving) on his trail and with Gwen helping him every stage of the way, he must do all his best to change the future once and for all.
