Out-of-town Weekend Adventure at Amansinaya Mountain Resort

Ever since I moved in to my new job I no longer had time to do other stuffs like blogging. I even missed a lot of paid blogging work. But I don’t really regret it though because I’m actually enjoying my work and I’m having fun working with my current officemates, as well. Being so MIA in my blog for almost a year, I’ve thought I would never be able to go back into blogging again but I guess I just couldn’t stand not to. I miss blogging so much; thus, I decided to make it a habit now to update my blog every weekend (since that’s the only free time I have unless I need to work overtime).

Nanay's Pre-Bday Celebration

Today, May 4th is “Nanay’s 53rd Bday” (my soon-to-be-mother-in-law), but we celebrated it yesterday though. Because Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo moved May 1st (“Labor Day”) on that day and declared it as “Legal Holiday”.

The Wolfman (2010)

Last Sunday, February 14 (Valentine’s day) … I decided to have a date with my parents in the mall (Market Market, Taguig) before meeting my akachan (boyfriend). We ate Double Chocolate Almond Ice Cream at DQ (Dairy Queen), roam inside the mall and then finally decided to watch a movie.
The movie I wanted to watch is “Dear John” and “Valentine’s Day”, my mother wanted to watch it, too. But my father doesn’t like it. What he like is an action movie, but since there was none. So, he decided that we just watch the horror/thriller “The Wolfman”.

Valentine's Day with my family

Most people think that the Valentine’s Day is merely just for lovers out there … but they’re definitely wrong with it. Because the “V-Day” is not just for one’s love partner (such as BF/GF/Hubby/Wife) but also for loved-ones — friends, brothers, sisters, granny, parents — in short, FAMILY.

Family Bonding (Christmas Party --- Valencia Reunion 2K9)

Christmas is the best season to reunite with all your loved ones, that’s why most families held their family reunion during this season.

Last Sunday, December 27, 2K9, we had a “Christmas Party – Valencia Reunion ‘09” at Auntie’s place (in my boyfriend’s side). And we had so much fun. Everyone was laughing our heads out during the parlor games and during exchange gifts, as well. We definitely enjoyed the family reunion that day!

Christmas Day

Christmas is the one season of the year when generosity is a national pastime. I love it, because it’s the celebration of our Savior’s birthday and I just can’t think of a more wonderful time of the year.

Some families, held ‘family reunion’ during this event, as well.

Near Christmas Bonding Time ^_^

Christmas will not be complete without “Christmas Decorations”, of course. Filipinos are used to putting lots of different Christmas decors in the house, malls, offices, schools, parks etc. --- such as the Christmas tree with either the angel or the stars on top of it, Christmas lights (some with music), Parol (lanterns), Santa Claus, gifts, reindeers, belen (a display representing the Nativity scene) and so many others.

Along Ayala, Makati City, there were lots of different Christmas decorations displayed outside of each buildings located there. And on the Glorietta park, there is a beautiful huge Christmas tree display.

Kris Kringle --- something 'Naughty

Christmas is the season of love, forgiving and giving. And usually, when Christmas is near, people are doing some “kris kringle” among friends, relatives, classmates or officemates. It usually start a few weeks before the Christmas party and the worth or amount of gift is much cheaper compared to the final “exchange gift” which is done during the Christmas party itself. Nice thing ’bout the kris kringle, is that, it comes with a particular theme which is often funny, green, unique and the like; that makes it more thrilling and challenging.
