My Very First Own Laptop --- eMachines D725-432G32Mi by Acer

I've been dying to buy a laptop for myself since June of last year, so I could regularly check all my social networking accounts, do blogging and study Photoshop. But my only problem is I'm on a very tight budget. I ask for assistance with my boyfriend's brother on what best laptop to buy for a low budget and he send me a link to asus k40ij (which coincidentally was my 1st choice)...But it cost a little higher so, I look for other laptops that will best suit for my small budget...I saw acer 4736z-432G25Mn and this one --- the eMachines D725-432G32Mi by acer.

Among the 3 choices I have...this laptop is the cheapest, and that's why I ended with this. But before I bought this laptop, I ask my bf's brother if this one is just OK and he said, “Not bad, for your budget.” So, I bought this last month @ Villman Computer Services, Inc. (SM MOA branch) for only P26,898.00 and comes with a freebie (either the sun broadband prepaid kit or the canon pixma ip300 printer)...But of course, I chose the latter. Coz I'll be needing it to print all the pictures I took (since I'm a picture addict and I really love taking pictures of beautiful stuffs that I see around me) ^_^

I've been using this laptop that I bought for a month and 2 days now and it really gives me an a-OK performance. Its specifications are awesome for a low amount budget, and actually it almost has the same specifications with my other 2 choices. This laptop is giving me a very solid performance --- I haven't encountered any problem with this one, so far. Aside from that, its features are fast, it runs all the applications that I'm using. Perhaps it’s due to its 7200 rpm hdd which is best used for desktop and “according to some reviews that I read” --- it is a lot better or faster comparing to the usual hdd revolution per minute for laptop which is the 5400rpm. And furthermore, this emachines d725 laptop also has a good quality of fan power which makes it good to used even in long hours and the battery quality is good, too. It last 3-4 hours used. And the design --- woah! It's so simple and so chic, because of its thin design (but not too thin nor too large, either). I really am so lovin' this laptop. ^_^

But one thing though, is that it only has 1 color which is black. I think it will be more beautiful if it also has other colors available, like pink, blue, limegreen, purple, white and the like. ^_^ And other cons to this laptop is that, it only have 2 USB port...but no worries coz I solved my problem with this by buying a 4-port USB hub ^_^

By the way, its specifications are:

Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core T4300 (2.1Ghz, 800 Mhz FSB, 1 MB L2 cache)

LCD: 14" and 16:9 ratio

Graphics: Mobile Intel GL40 Express Chipset with integrated 3D graphics, featuring Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500rpm with up to 1759 MB of Intel Dynamic Video Memory Technology 5.0 (64 MB of dedicated video memory up to 1695 MB of shared memory), supporting Microsoft Direct X 10, 16.7 million colors, MPEG-2/DVD decoding

Storage: 320 HDD sata (7200rpm) and 5-in-1 card reader

Optical Media Drive: 8x DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive

Communication: 0.3 megapixel, featuring enhanced technology for low-light environments, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi certified network connections, 10/100 Mbps Fast ethernet

I/O Ports: 2 USB port, headphone/speaker/line-out jack, microphone-in jack

And oh, by the way, before I forget, this emachines D725 laptop is now distributed by acer, which is known to be one the leading and trusted manufacturers of computers in the world. So, bottomline is....I could say that this laptop is "worth to try" ^_^

Not my kind of laptop. (PEACE)
Anyway if your budget is below 30k, targeting a dual core technology and looking for more attractive packaging. Why not go for the Dell Inspiron 1440 comes in red, black, blue, purple full spectrum of color. I've already handled different branded laptops and as for my experience Dell tops. I mean for me it tops... I don't know, maybe because of its top computing technology?

hehe...dell still cost 29-30K and I only have a 27K budget. That's why I grabbed this one...hehe =) Besides, I'll be just using this for my blog.

Don't worry, this is just my 1st step and there's still next year...haha...Who knows the next laptop that I'm going to buy is either Vaio or Apple *wishful thinking* =))

Hello. It lifts me up to know that the eMachines d725 earns praises from every forum/website/blog I visit. Its because im planning to buy one a week from now. Ill be using it mainly for training using the Adobe Illustrator cs4 and Photoshop cs4. I was wondering, how did it go when you used it for training in photoshop? i couldn't get answers because I couldn't find a topic involving performance of Adobe products using eMachines d725. I want to know if the program ran smoothly when you used it.

Anyway, great blog. =) And many thanks for the more specific points you presented in this blog.(not just the specifications, but also the first hand comments from someone who already experienced handling this laptop model.)Much apprecated =)

@Anonymous: hi there...ei, thanks for the comment. I read this just now, so I'm sorry if my response is 4days delayed already.

Anyways, with regard to your concern..well, I haven't really tried the Adobe Master Collection CS4 (such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc) yet. What I'm only using is the CS3 version. But it runs well and smooth here in my eMachines d725 laptop :)...So, I guess the CS4 version will run smooth, too... :) Hope my answer somehow helps you :)
