Edsa Shangri-La Plaza Mall still 'CLOSED'

As we (akachan & I), passed by at Edsa Shangri-La Plaza Mall on our way to St. Francis Church, we saw that up until today, April 25th, it is still close for public due to the fire that broke out in the basement stockroom of Rustan’s Supermarket in Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City around half past 10 in the evening last April 23rd (Friday).

It had been reportedly reached 3rd alarm, prompting the mall staffers to evacuate all tenants and moviegoers. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of Mandaluyong Cityplaced the damage of the said fire incident at P2-million which is said consisted mostly of grocery items.

Firefighter had a hard time penetrating the inner part of the storage room due to the thick smoke. So, it took them five hours to put the fire really under control and another hour to finally douse it at around 4:30 in the morning.

And oh, this afternoon, another fire occurred but this time in a residential area in QC.
