My Apple iPod Touch

Last week — Wednesday (March 31st), to be exact — akachan (my bf) and I went to PowerMac Center in Greenbelt 3, Makati City to claim my iPod for the HSBC credit card promo for all those approved credit card.

It supposed to be just the Apple iPod Nano 5th Gen — the one with the radio and a video cam — but my akachan wants me to just get the iPod Touch instead. Because he said that it’s better to watch movies/videos in it, since it has a much bigger screen than the iPod Nano. And in addition, it is WI-FI-capable which means I can access the net in WI-FI areas such as Malls, coffeeshops and the like, without the hassle of bringing my laptop with me. ^_^

At first, we thought that it isn’t possible since the promo only advertised for the iPod Nano 5th Gen. But lucky for us, because the Apple Sales Rep says “we CAN still AVAIL the IPOD TOUCH” with the same terms applied — 24-months to pay and still with a 20% discount — since Apple is tied-up with HSBC for the credit card promo! So, it’s like, we just UPGRADE the iPod Nano 5th Gen to iPod Touch! Whoa! Soooo happy :D

The thing though is that, in PowerMac Center SM Megamall, there’s no iPod Touch available. So, we decided to just proceed to PowerMac Center in Greenbelt 3, Makati City after we had our lunch.

When we got there, there’s only an 8GB iPod Touch available. My akachan wanted either the 32 or the 64GB, so I asked the Apple Sales Rep there, if when will there be an avail stock for those 2. The Sales Rep said that, they don’t know yet coz there’s no advice from their main office yet. And with that, we decided to just claim the 8GB instead. After all, I have a laptop, which means that I don’t need to store lots of movies/videos in the iPod — I can just simply erase the movie right after I’ve watched it for more memory space =D

Below are the Specifications of the Apple iPod Touch:

  • Battery Life:

    Audio Playback — 30 hours
    Video Playback — 6 hours
  • Weight:

    4.05 ounces (115 grams)
  • Charge Time:

About 4 hours (2-hour fast charge to 80%)
  • Display:

    3.5-inch (diagonal)
    widescreen
    Multi-touch display

And oh, just Last Sunday (Easter Sunday), we went to PowerMac Center SM Moa and bought a hardcase for it. Shocks! It’s sooooo-super expensive, it costs P1,200.00. But it’s ok though, coz at least my iPod Touch won’t have any scratches. ^_^
