82nd Oscar Academy Best Director Award

The speculation and the debate on who will be the winners for the 82^nd Oscar Academy Awards had finally come to an end last March 8. And the movie “The Hurt Locker” took the 2 biggest awards for winning both the “Best DIRECTOR” and “Best PICTURE” outshining James Cameron’s AVATAR.

The Best Director award goes to Kathryn Bigelow who made history by being the 1^st FEMALE Director in film history to win the said title. She defeated her former spouse James Cameron on that category/title.

She said and I quote:

“There’s no other way to describe this. It’s the moment of a lifetime”

She dedicated her award to all the soldiers fighting around the world. “May they come home safe”, she said.
