Palm Sunday

Every Sunday, my akachan (bf) and I go to St. Francis Church in Crossing, Mandaluyong, to attend Sunday masses. We are devotees in that church. We always visit there to pray even if it’s not Sunday.

And coincidentally today is also our 45th monthsary. So, we went to church not just for the Palm Sunday celebration but also to thank HIM for making our path crossed. ;) And this Sunday we had celebrated Palm Sunday there, as always of course. ;)

Palm Sunday is the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in the days before His passion and resurrection.

It is considered as “Passion Sunday” by many Christians and also a “moveable feast” which usually falls on Sunday, just before the Easter to signal the beginning of the Holy week.

According to the Bible:

“When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him with waving palm branches and covering his path with it. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, He begins his journey to the cross.

Matthew 21:11; Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44 and John 12:12-19 is where the biblical account for this event can be found.
